“Mist Stick”

But that was a mistake: the word “mist” in German slang means “dung”. Colgate-Palmolive Company has brought its new toothpaste named “Cue” to the French market. A bit later, the Americans found out that it was a name of a popular French porno magazine. Company Pepsi has literally translated into Chinese its main advertising slogan, “Come Alive With the Pepsi Generation”. The Chinese were shocked: the slogan has acquired an unexpected meaning: “Pepsi Will Make Your Ancestors Rise from Their Graves”.
